Project Overview
Access Distribution is one of the largest and fastest growing North American distributors of Action Sports branded and niche goods. Founded in 2004, this privately held company is headquartered in Nevada City, California.
Access Distribution is a two-part company. The branded side includes ownership of the names and trademarks to Mission Six Outerwear and Clothing, Monix Outerwear and Clothing, Prom Outerwear and Clothing, Swag Outerwear and Clothing, Capix Snowboarding Accessories and The Exposure Project (EXP) snow and work ware. Access also has the licensing rights to Millennium Three (M3), Silence and Avalanche snowboards.
The second side of the company operates as a wholesaler of niche goods in the Snow, Skate and Surf Industries. Access specializes in placing top-of-the-line hard and soft goods in the hands of retailers through opportunity buys.
The need for a website to offer their retailers a place to visit, sign up, login to the shared ftp platform and get news updates was quintessential for the comapny's success. The site was designed with the company's clientele in mind, not the consumer. Therefore, the approach taken was thouroughly watered down comared to some of the other sites which represent the indutsry. Professional Action Sports Concept & Design!
This site utilizes a blend of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash to create a unique atmosphere and style. The mix of professionalism with a modernism brought forth a solid feel with a usability level which Access clients want.
The feedback after the release of this sitte was phenominal and showed proof that creative design is well accepted in a professional industry.
